Qualifications and Experience

• At least a National Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management/ Industrial Psychology or related qualification.
• At least 2 years of working experience in a similar role, preferably in a public service institution.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees.
• IPMZ membership or qualification is an added advantage.

Qualifications

National Diploma in science technology or electronics

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conducting laboratory tests for qualitative and quantitative analyses of various substances and materials. (radiochemistry, environmental monitoring, waste management, radiation dosimetry and radiation physics measurements).
• Provides reports, statistics and analysis of assigned duties
• Maintains and manage technical equipment.
• Carry out all administrative requirements for receipting of laboratory samples
• Represent the Authority on all radiation safety and security requirements
• Maintain inventory of laboratory glassware and reagents.
• Follow all good laboratory practices

 

2. Receptionist

Qualifications

National Diploma in Secretarial Studies or equivalent

Duties and Responsibilities

• Receiving calls and interacting with clients

PROCUREMENT OFFICER

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

• Providing overall procurement activities for the Authority.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Overseeing the procurement of goods and services for the Authority in line with the Procurement Laws and regulations.
• Preparation and maintaining of the annual procurement plan for the Authority.
• Advising the Accounting Officer on procurement matters.
• Preparing periodic procurement reports for the Accounting Officer.
• Maintaining records on all procurement proceedings and related matters.
• Oversee contract development & execution
• Preparation of bidding documents in terms of the prevailing procurement regulations.
• Any special duties assigned on an adhoc basis by the Chief Executive Officer.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Academic Qualifications    –    BSc (Hons) in Procurement; Supply Chain Management or equivalent
• Professional Qualifications –    Charted Institute of Purchase and Supply (CIPS)
• Experience    –     Five (5) years’ experience in Public Procurement

Radiation Protection Authority of Zimbabwe (RPAZ) is inviting applications from suitably qualified, mature, honest and substantially experienced persons for the appointment to the following post which have arisen in the organisation:

PA TO THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

• Providing effective secretarial and administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Balances the CEO’s diary, assess appointments’ priority and re-allocations as necessary and manage his travel arrangements.
• Processes CEO’s correspondence, ensuring that incoming correspondence is dealt with by the Chief Executive Officer or on behalf of him or other staff as appropriate.
• Ensures that clients and stakeholders are treated with respect and feel valued.
• Provides effective secretarial and administrative support to the CEO.
• Conducts diary meetings with the CEO to discuss upcoming engagements, invitations and other requests.
• Attends to CEO’s incoming and outgoing correspondence including mail, phone calls and emails where necessary.
• Coordinates travel arrangements and bookings for the CEO.
• Takes down minutes for the CEO and filters general information, queries, phone calls and invitations to the CEO by directing or taking forward such contracts as appropriate

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Academic Qualifications –  At least a Diploma in Office Management
• Experience – At least 5 years experience in State Enterprise & Parastatal or Government
