Dosimeters shall be WORN on the front of the upper torso of the body, between the shoulders and the waist.
For operators using lead rubber aprons, the dosimeters should be worn inside the lead aprons still on the front of the upper torso of the body, between the shoulders and the waist.
NEVER use a damaged dosimeter.
If a dosimeter is DAMAGED by an individual, the deposit fee will be forfeited and replacement will be made after paying another deposit.
The dosimeter should be safely kept at the WORKPLACE in a cool, clean and dry environment away from the radiation.
NEVER deliberately expose the dosimeters to radiation.
Dosimeters shall be PROCESSED by the Radiation Protection Authority Zimbabwe (RPAZ) Dosimetry Section only.
Dosimeters shall be submitted to RPAZ Dosimetry Section EACH MONTH for exposure measurements. As the readings are being processed the workers must use the alternate dosimeter.
DOSE REPORTS issued by RPAZ Dosimetry Section should be made available to each worker under individual monitoring.
Dosimeters remain a PROPERTY OF THE AUTHORITY and should be returned when no longer in use.
