VACANCY: Procurement Officer

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of Procurement Officer that has arisen in the Authority. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Procurement Officer will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and facilitating the procurement of goods and services following the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act and its regulations.
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring the Annual Procurement Plan
  • Preparing contract documents and amendments.
  • Liaising with the regulator, PRAZ, on procurement issues to ensure the Authority

adheres to the relevant statutes.

  • Preparing and submitting procurement reports as may be required.
  • Supporting internal stakeholders and guiding on procurement and disposal matters.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing and Supply / Supply Chain Management or related field
  • At least five (5) years of working experience in a similar role
  • Professional Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or equivalent, and a Postgraduate Purchasing and Supply qualification will be an added advantage
  • Proficient knowledge of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act
  • Good understanding of the Electronic Government Procurement (EGP) System
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strategic thinker and unquestionable integrity
